IE AutoFill Editor provides convenient and user-friendly way to edit and remove
existing form fields, or create new User-defined fields.
To open Editor window click can be done in the one of the following ways:
- click on AutoFill button of the toolbar and select Editor menu item
- right-click on the web page and select IE AutoFill->Editor menu item
- select Tools->IE AutoFill menu item from the main Internet Explorer menu
Left part of Editor screen contains tree of links and right part contains list
of form fields.
How to use Tree of Links
Tree of links includes four root nodes: Global, Context Menu, Internet and Local.
- Global node contains the following items:
- Personal Information node holds Personal fields.
- Address node holds Address fields.
- Credit Card Information node holds Credit Card fields.
- Context Menu node holds Context Menu fields
(see introduction).
- Local node holds collection of local HTML files that have
been saved in application database.
- Internet node holds collection of all site nodes representing
the websites (for example: http://www.google.com) saved into the application
database. Site node may contain a collection of page nodes representing the
web pages belonging to the website.
When you select any node on the tree panel of IE AutoFill the right panel represents
collection of form fields that belong to this node.
To remove a site or page node from Internet or Local root nodes use the following
procedure:
- Select the node you want to delete by clicking on it
- Select one on the next options:
- Click Remove Node button on editor toolbar
- Select Edit->Remove Node menu item from editor main
menu
- Use Alt + Del key on your keyboard
- Open the context menu by right-clicking in the Tree section and select
Remove Node menu item.
When you remove a node the Editor removes all form fields that belong to it,
and in the case of a site node all page nodes with their respective fields will
also be removed.
How to use List of Form Fields
When you select any node on the tree panel of IE AutoFill the right panel represents
collection of form fields that belong to this node.
You can update, remove elements from this list and when you are selected any of Global
or Context Menu nodes you can add new Field as well.
To update form field from the list use the following procedure:
- Select the Field you want to update by clicking on it.
(if the Field type is Textarea then the special Dialog form will be oped)
- Update Field value by typing a new value or selecting it from drop-down
box.
- Save modified Field value by clicking on it, or by using Enter
key on your keyboard.(if the Field type is Textarea
click OK button on the special Dialog form)
- If you don't want to save modified Field value use Esc
key on your keyboard.(if the Field type is Textarea
click Cancel button on the special Dialog form)
To Remove form field from the list use the following procedure:
- Select the Field you want to delete by clicking on it
- Select one on the next options:
- Click Remove Field button on editor toolbar
- Select Edit->Remove Field menu item from editor
main menu
- Use Ctrl + Del key on your keyboard
- Open the context menu by right-clicking in the Field Section and select
Remove Field menu item
To add new Global field use the following procedure:
- Select one of the Global nodes in the Tree of links
- Select one on the these options:
- Click Add Field button on editor toolbar
- Select Edit->Add Field menu item
- Use Ctrl + Ins key on your keyboard
- Open the context menu by right-clicking in the User Field Section and
select Add Field menu item
- Enter Field description and value
To add new Context Menu field use the following procedure:
- Select the Context Menu node in the Tree of links
- Select one on the next options:
- Click Add Field button on editor toolbar
- Select Edit->Add Field menu item
- Use Ctrl + Ins key on your keyboard
- Open the context menu by right-clicking in the User Field Section and
select Add Field menu item
- Select Field type (default is Text)
- Enter Field description and value
How to setup IE AutoFill options
To open IE AutoFill options dialog form select one of the next operations:
- Click Options button on editor toolbar
- Select Tools->Options menu item
- Use Ctrl + O key on your keyboard;
Using options dialog form you can setup the following IE AutoFill properties:
- Default save - allows setup IE AutoFill default save category used by clicking
the toolbar button directly
- Default fill - allows setup IE AutoFill default fill category used by clicking
the toolbar button directly
- Background color - defines a form controls highlight color
- Enable Context Menu - enable context menu access
(if disabled filling of custom context menu fields is also disabled)
- Enable password - enables editor access protection by password
- Password - user password if Enable password is checked
To save changed options to application database click Save
button.
NOTE: All personal data will be unaccessible if you
set and forget
your password

Register menu item opens IE AutoFill register window, which provides you a
way to register IE AutoFill.
About menu item tells you which version of the IE AutoFill you are using.
